Practice Focus is a software tool designed to help practices and PCTs
meet national and local quality targets, and to improve data collection
from practices.
Practice Focus has been designed using the experience of practicing
clinicians and practice managers working in partnership with
specialists in GP Clinical systems. It provides practices with
performance information against QOF indicators, enhanced services and
additional quality targets. Many of the functions available in Practice
Focus are not routinely available in clinical systems.
Practice Focus has a particular emphasis on improving data quality,
registers, and enuring prevalence figures are accurate. This can be
extremely valuable to minimise potential losses due to changes to the
financial calculations for QOF.
Currently compatible with all systems that meet RFA 99 accreditation
criteria, using 5 byte Read Codes or CTV3 codes. All statistical data
from participating practices can be aggregated at the PCT to provide a
comprehensive database.
